Obtaining your USA nursing license for international nurses can be a confusing process, but fear not as the experts at Nurses 4 America have the expertise to help!

Before you can sit the NCLEX exam, your qualifications and credentials as a nurse will need to be verified to prove to the state you are being licensed in that you are in fact an RN.

Each of the 50 different states in America have different licensing requirements, and it can be confusing which is the quickest way to become licensed. Some US States lead to a cycle where it's next to impossible to obtain your license through if you're an international nurse.

However the decision to grant you the eligibility to sit the NCLEX-RN exam is the sole decision of the chosen Board of Nursing. We cannot guarantee that you will be given the eligibility but as stated above, will provide full assistance so that the documentation is presented accordingly and accurately. Nor can we can vouch for your nursing school’s competence in transcript work but we can liaise with them on your behalf if there are any concerns or problems.

Can I work in any state I'd like?

The most important thing to understand is that EVERY state can endorse EVERY state’s license.
Example: If you are licensed in New York, it does not matter whatsoever if you wish to work in Texas, because all licenses are endorsable. To make it perfectly clear, the state you become licensed through has NO bearing whatsoever on the actual place that you decide to work in.

Okay, so I understand I can be licensed in State A, and work in State B - now what?

A common mistake for many of the nurses who approach us is that they attempt to do the licensing process themselves, and make mistakes in their applications because of how complex the various State Boards of Nursing can be in their applications.
